Cherrywood Village is one of Dublin’s most ambitious new residential communities, a master-planned neighbourhood on the city’s southern edge built around sustainable living. When Quintain and Evara set out to make Cherry Lane a standout address within the development, they wanted a cycling facility that matched that ambition.
Head-Wind was appointed to design and install a fully integrated bike hub — a practical, well-equipped space that makes cycling a natural part of everyday life for residents. From the bike wash to the maintenance stand and e-bike charging, every element was chosen to cover what a cyclist actually needs on their doorstep.
The result is a facility residents genuinely use — and one that positions Cherry Lane as a forward-thinking address in one of Dublin’s most exciting new communities.
What We Installed
Bike Wash Station
A high-pressure bike wash station designed for easy self-service year-round. Robust enough for Dublin winters, straightforward enough that no management oversight is needed. Residents can rinse down after a wet commute or a muddy weekend ride without any fuss.
Maintenance Station
A fully equipped stand with a comprehensive set of tethered tools and a heavy-duty floor pump. Perfect for a pre-commute tyre check or a quick adjustment after a long ride — everything a resident needs to keep their bike running well without a trip to the workshop.
Secure Bike Storage
High-density Sheffield-style stands and sheltered racking configured to make the most of the available space. Suitable for all bike types — road bikes, hybrids, cargo bikes, and e-bikes — with a layout designed for easy access and a tidy finish that suits the development.
E-Bike Charging
Integrated charging points for electric bikes, installed as a standard part of the facility. For residents living in apartments, reliable home charging for an e-bike is often the deciding factor in whether they use it for commuting — this removes that barrier entirely.
Bike Wash Station
High and low-pressure washing with integrated drainage, for staff cycling in from the surrounding hills and coastal routes. Weatherproof and built for everyday use in all conditions, with a clean, professional finish that suits the setting.
Custom Art Graphics
Bespoke graphics designed specifically for the facility, drawing on the character of the historic building and the council’s civic identity. The graphics bring personality to the space and make it somewhere staff genuinely want to spend a moment — not just pass through.
